simply solid.

Well. This blog hasn't even been in existence for very long and I am already neglecting it! Awww. :P Well, I promise this won't become a pattern. Things have been pretty busy. Hehe.

So, it's no secret that I am a huge fan of patterns. Pretty, flowery, intricate, unique, vintage...a good pattern can enhance a look or outfit just that much more. When I shop, I spend a lot of time sorting through tops, skirts, dresses, or whatever just to find that perfect pattern.

Sometimes, this makes me sort of...dizzy. I can't explain it. I look at so many different patterns, that every now and then there is nothing more soothing to my eyes and imagination than something that is just soft and simple. Something solid colored. Something plain. For me it's sometimes just the case that less really is more. All the ruffles and lace and flowers and birds can be so pretty...but sometimes there is just something comforting about a soft black skirt or a simple t-shirt.

This is how I am feeling right now. I need to take a break from patterns!! Haha. It's time to add some solids to my closet, and American Apparel is usually a good cure for that. :P Here are a few of the wonderfully simple items I have been craving lately.









And of course, I can't forget my clothing haven, Urban Outfitters. They've got a few lovelies I've been eyeing, as well.







Summer is calling my name...and these simple designs and soft, soothing fabrics are perfect for the warm, balmy days ahead.
